HTBLuVA Spengergasse or short HTL Spengergasse has a rich history. The educational institution known as HTL Spengergasse was founded on January 11, 1758 by Archduchess Maria Theresia as the "k.k. Commerzialzeichnungsakademie." At its inception, the school aimed to address the shortage of skilled textile professionals. The expansion of Austria's textile industry in the 19th century necessitated further development of the school, leading to its renaming as the "Lehranstalt für Textilindustrie" (Institute for Textile Industry) in 1881. Following the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, HTL Spengergasse became the sole textile technology educational institution in the newly formed Republic of Austria. As a result, its scope had to be expanded to cover all areas of the textile industry. In 1921, it was transformed into a higher educational institution called the "Bundeslehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Textilindustrie" (Federal Teaching and Research Institute for Textile Industry), which included additions such as chemical and textile business management departments.
HTL Spengergasse is a vocational higher technical school in Vienna that offers a diverse range of training and educational opportunities for both young people and adults. thumb_up I loved this school. My branch was interior and surface design. The teachers are extremely qualified, not only in the special subjects, but also in the basic subjects such as mathematics, German, etc. The school offers an enormous selection of subjects. The school building is huge and beautiful, lots of natural sunlight and a cool courtyard. The specialized technical equipment is very developed and you learn a lot from this school. You can get there easily with the U4, bus, S-Bahn, tram and there are plenty of shops around you, even an art supply store (very practical for the artists at this school).
