To further enhance the educational landscape, Akdeniz University strategically transferred its units in Isparta to Süleyman Demirel University in 1992, Burdur units to Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2006, and Alanya units to Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in 2015.

The university currently operates through 24 faculties, 7 institutes, 3 colleges, 1 conservatory, 12 vocational colleges, and 57 research and application centers. In addition, Akdeniz University proudly holds memberships in prestigious associations such as the European University Association and the Caucasus University Association.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, a diverse student body of 64,335 individuals pursued their studies at Akdeniz University, including 21,513 associate degree students, 37,389 undergraduate students, 3,893 master's students, and 1,540 doctoral students. The university's esteemed academic staff, consisting of 2,829 professionals, includes 540 professors, 314 associate professors, 491 doctors, 674 lecturers, and 810 research assistants, all dedicated to delivering exceptional education and research opportunities.

Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan, a graduate of Akdeniz University's Faculty of Medicine in 2001, completed her specialization training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Akdeniz University's Faculty of Medicine in 2008. The school is qualified in terms of location, environment and dormitory accommodation. Thanks to the education and training provided, you can understand many things correctly. The weather is warm most of the time and the school is located in a touristic area, which provides advantages.

I studied at Akdeniz University for my undergraduate studies between 2006-2010. There are very good professors at this university. The first face transplant operation in Turkey was performed at this university. There is one central library that is really big and has many resources. Also, each faculty has its own library. There are many student clubs, the social oportunities are really good. If you look at the campus photos, you will be happy.
