This led to the founding of the "University Faculties of Salvador" on May 2, 1956. Subsequently, on May 15, 1958, these faculties evolved into the "University Institutes of Salvador" and finally, on December 3, 1959, the journey to its current status as a recognized private university began with significant milestones, leading to its official recognition under the name we know today.
