The University of Trento, established in 1962 as a Higher University Institute for Social Sciences, has an intriguing history. Initially, it was the first Faculty of Sociology in Italy, marking a pivotal moment in the country's educational landscape. Over the years, the university expanded its horizons.
In 1972, the Faculty of Science was founded, followed by the Faculty of Economics in 1973.
