Isik University Overview

Isik University, a distinguished private institution located in Istanbul, Turkey. Established as part of the Feyziye Schools Foundation's Isik Schools, Isik University has a rich history dating back to the Feyz-i Sıbyan School in Salonica in 1885.

After the foundation moved to Istanbul, the name was changed to Isik in 1935, symbolizing enlightenment. In 1986, the Maslak campus was established to cater to educational needs, and in the 1996-1997 academic year, Isik University was launched, marking a new chapter for the foundation.

Today, Isik University operates two campuses. The Maslak campus is situated in Istanbul's bustling business district, while the Şile campus, opened in 2003, is located 50 km away from the city. The Şile campus spans 600 acres and offers a comprehensive "educational campus" experience, featuring dormitories, social facilities, and academic and administrative buildings.

Isik University boasts a wide range of programs, from preschool to graduate-level education, offered by faculties such as Engineering, Arts and Sciences, and Economic and Administrative Sciences. The university is guided by a board of trustees, working in collaboration with the university president, provosts, and faculty deans.
