The Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU), also known as Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, is a prominent self-governing public institution located in Kyiv, Ukraine. Founded in 1906 as Higher Commercial Courses, the university has a rich history of evolution and development.

KNEU holds a distinguished position in the academic landscape and has received recognition both nationally and globally. It achieved the third rank in the Ukrainian national ranking of universities conducted by Compass in 2012 and secured the second position among universities in Ukraine according to Eduniversal, a leading international university ranking in 2015. In the 2020 Eduniversal ranking, KNEU retained its position as the third-best university in Ukraine.

The university's history includes several significant transformations, with milestones such as being named in honor of Vadym Hetman, a renowned Ukrainian banker and economist who founded the National Bank of Ukraine, in 2005.

With its vast 118,765 m² campus area, KNEU stands as the largest economic educational institution in Ukraine. It caters to approximately 15,000 students and is recognized both locally and internationally as a leading training center for economists, managers, and lawyers.

KNEU offers diverse bachelor programs, covering fields such as law, economic theory, economic cybernetics, international economics, marketing, finance, and computer sciences, among others.

The university comprises various faculties, including the Faculty of International Economics and Management, Faculty of Marketing, Faculty of Finance, and the Institute of Law, to name a few. Additionally, KNEU houses teaching and practical centers, research institutes, and a Science Park, fostering a thriving academic environment.

As a member of esteemed international organizations and programs such as EDAMBA, EFMD, and the Magna Charta Universitatum, KNEU actively promotes global cooperation in academia.
