Dr. Avelino José Porto, the visionary founder of the University of Belgrano, currently holds the esteemed titles of President Emeritus and President of the Fundación Universidad de Belgrano.

Through extensive consultations with National Academies and domain experts spanning diverse disciplines, a historic milestone was achieved on January 26, 1970. President Roberto Marcelo Levingston granted definitive authorization for the University of Belgrano to operate, affirming its unwavering commitment to delivering an unparalleled standard of education.
