About Dr. Avelino Porto

Dr. Avelino Porto Overview

Dr. Avelino Porto, a visionary educator, founded and leads the University of Belgrano since 1964. He'll be honored as a distinguished citizen of Buenos Aires on May 8th. A co-founder of the National Academy of Education in 1984, Porto contributed to the creation of the Latin American University Cooperation Network, Columbus Program, and Bicentennial Forum. Former Minister of Health, he's a law graduate from the University of Buenos Aires.
