Anglo-American University Overview

Anglo-American University (AAU) is situated in the heart of Prague's Lesser Town and was established in 1990 after the fall of communism by Jansen Raichl and Dr. Vlasta Raichlová. AAU's vision is to blend American and British academic principles with Central European traditions to provide diverse career opportunities for students in the local and international labor markets. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at AAU is awarded by Chapman University in California, holding top accreditations from WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) and AACSB.

As the first European institution with accreditation from WSCUC, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, AAU offers programs accredited by the National Accreditation Bureau in Czech Republic. The university's dual accreditation, combining Czech and American accreditation, sets AAU graduates apart in both U.S. and EU labor markets. With a diverse student body representing 80+ nationalities, the campus is truly multicultural. The Student Council and 30+ student clubs promote student engagement and representation.

Master's programs include Business Administration, Humanities & Social Sciences, International Relations & Diplomacy, and Master of Law (LLM) programs in International Intellectual Property Law and Law and Development. The university also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in cooperation with Chapman University.

Additionally, AAU offers courses related to Czech culture, such as Czech and Slovak Politics, Cities of Central Europe: Prague, Vienna, and Budapest, Literature of Prague, Prague Art and Architecture, and Czech as a foreign language.
