University of New York in Prague Overview

The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a renowned private institution of higher education located in Prague, Czech Republic. Established in 1998 in collaboration with the State University of New York (SUNY), including New Paltz and Empire State College, UNYP gained recognition from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports in 2001. It is also a proud member of the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education.

Originally situated in Prague's historic old town, UNYP relocated to a new campus in Vinohrady (Prague 2) in 2014, specifically at Londýnská 41.

UNYP offers a diverse range of accredited programs, including bachelor's degrees, master's programs, MBA programs, and PhD programs. These programs are taught in English and developed in partnership with esteemed universities across Europe and the United States. Notably, over 60% of UNYP's faculty members hold doctoral degrees, primarily from prestigious institutions like Charles University and the Prague University of Economics.

At the undergraduate level, UNYP offers four-year American bachelor's degrees in fields such as Business Administration, International Relations, Communication and Media, Child Development, Psychology, Digital Media Arts, English Language and Literature, Information Technology, and Political Science. These programs are offered in collaboration with SUNY's Empire State College and are recognized and accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and the US Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Additionally, UNYP grants three-year European bachelor's degrees in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Human Resources, Sports Management, or Finance. These European bachelor's degrees hold recognition and accreditation from the Czech Ministry of Education and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

UNYP provides various graduate programs, including an MA in Psychology and MBA programs specializing in Marketing, Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, or Global Business Services. The UNYP MBA program holds accreditation from IACBE.

For doctoral studies, UNYP offers PhD programs in collaboration with the University of Bolton in the United Kingdom.

Accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and recognized by the Czech National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education, UNYP offers six-degree programs leading to Bachelor's or Master's degrees.
