Milena Ferenčíková Overview

Milena Ferenčíková is an accomplished professional with a strong academic background in psychology. She holds two bachelor's degrees in psychology, which were obtained in January 2019 from the University of New York in Prague (UNYP). Additionally, she completed her M.A. in Psychology from UNYP in June 2021.

During her time as a master's student, Ferenčíková served as a Research Assistant in the School of Psychology. With over two years of experience in Research Methods and Statistics Tutoring, she joined the School of Psychology as a Statistics Lecturer. Her master's thesis focused on examining the psychometric quality of a standardized questionnaire on emotional intelligence in English and Slovak speakers.

Ferenčíková has a diverse range of research interests. In 2021, she successfully completed an accredited course in Crisis Intervention and earned accreditation as a Psychologist in Healthcare. 

Aside from her academic pursuits, Milena Ferenčíková has a full-time position in HR as a Quality Auditor. She is a highly self-motivated individual who is dedicated to delivering an exceptional learning experience to all her students. She recently embarked on a Doctoral Degree in Medical Psychology and Psychopathology at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University.

Originally from Slovakia, Ferenčíková studied psychology at the University of New York in Prague. In addition to her degrees from UNYP, she also holds a BA in Human Development from Empire State University in the USA. Her research interests revolve around psychometrics and the impact of personality and early connections on mental health. She has received comprehensive training in crisis intervention and is on the verge of completing her systemic integrative psychotherapy training, focusing on the treatment of psychosomatic syndromes, including eating disorders and comorbid illnesses. Her expertise extends to adaptation disorders, developmental trauma, stress management, prevention of burnout syndrome, eating disorders, and psychosomatic problems with anxiety-depressive symptoms.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ferenčíková has a passion for dancing, oriental music, and exploring different cultures.
