He further pursued his academic endeavors at Columbia University in New York, earning his M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D. degrees in International Relations, with a concentration in International Law. Notably, he stands as the first person of color to have completed a Ph.D. in International Law at Columbia University, a significant achievement.
