James Lord Overview

James Lord, an academic and writer, embarked on a literary journey in the United Kingdom. He earned his B.A. in English Literature with a Creative Writing Pathway from the University of Hull, and further pursued his passion by obtaining an M.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Sheffield. During his academic pursuit, James had the privilege of working alongside renowned poet Simon Armitage, the current UK Poet Laureate.

Since 2016, James has been imparting his knowledge as an educator at The University of New York in Prague, where he teaches Composition and Introduction to English Literature. Beyond the classroom, he explores his creative talents, crafting poetry and prose that have found their way into publications such as Jacket Magazine and Now Then.
