Dr. Charlotte Longley is a distinguished Educational and Child Psychologist based in Prague. With a comprehensive background in early years, school, and family contexts, Dr. Longley has cultivated expertise in fostering mental health and well-being among children, schools, and families. In addition to her work in an International School and her private practice, she teaches Psychology of Infancy and Childhood.

Dr. Longley's educational journey began with a degree in Psychology following her A-Levels, which led her to pursue a postgraduate qualification in teaching. While teaching in a challenging inner London school, she developed a deep interest in supporting children who faced difficulties within the school environment. This drove her to embark on the groundbreaking Child, Community, and Educational Psychology Doctoral program at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in London. As part of a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team, she gained valuable experience working in various local authority settings and conducted research.

Dr. Charlotte Longley's professional experience includes roles as an Educational Psychologist at the London Borough of Merton, where she served as a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist for one year and one month, and as an Educational Psychologist for four years and five months. She also worked as an Educational Psychologist at the London Borough of Barnet for three years and six months, and prior to that, she underwent training as an Educational Psychologist for two years.

Dr. Longley's passion for travel intertwined with her career, allowing her to gain valuable experiences and insights. During her travels, she spent time in Prague and developed a strong connection to the city. Following a career break for maternity leave and a venture into the family travel business, she returned to her calling as a Psychologist in Prague.

Dr. Charlotte Longley is a qualified psychologist, a licensed teacher, and a parent, bringing a unique perspective to her work. She holds a Doctorate in Educational, Child, and Community Psychology from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Brunel University, and a B.Sc. in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Dr. Longley is a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds memberships with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the International Pediatric Sleep Association. She also holds the EuroPsy certificate, a testament to her proficiency in psychology.
