David Levčík Overview

David Levčík is a research scientist specializing in Neuroscience. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, an M.Sc. in Animal and Human Physiology, and a B.Sc. in General Biology, all from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Currently affiliated with the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic, Dr. Levčík's research focuses on understanding how the brain encodes behavioral and cognitive processes. His primary area of investigation lies in spatial cognition, where he explores both rodents and humans. Dr. Levčík's academic journey includes a postdoctoral internship at the Federal University of Parana in Curitiba, Brazil, as well as a research stay at the University of California, San Diego, USA. His outstanding contributions to the field have been recognized with various prestigious awards and honors, such as the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education MSCA Mobility IV Fellowship, HR Excellence in Research Award Fellowship, FENS-IBRO/PERC Travel Grant, Young Talent Attraction – Program Science Without Borders Fellowship, and the Program of Support for Promising Human Resources Fellowship.
