A pivotal moment in its transformation arrived in 1992, as the establishment of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University ushered Düzce University into a new era. What ensued was a rapid metamorphosis, culminating in the expansion of faculties and institutes, including the Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Technical Education, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health, Akçakoca School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Akçakoca Vocational School, all under the umbrella of Düzce University.

The official inception of Düzce University, a distinct entity apart from Abant İzzet Baysal University, materialized on March 17, 2006, as proclaimed by Law No. 5467, published in Official Gazette No. 26111. Embracing a philosophy of value creation, the university embarked on its educational journey with a fervor to make a lasting impact.

From its modest beginnings with three faculties and a student body of 5,700, Düzce University has blossomed into a formidable institution of higher learning. With over 30,000 students, 12 faculties, 4 institutes, 2 schools, 10 vocational schools, and a collection of over 30 research centers and a Technopark, the university has firmly established itself as a distinguished and preferred choice for higher education seekers.
