This endeavor was made possible through the establishment of MEF University, orchestrated by the İbrahim Arıkan Foundation for Education and Scientific Research Support.

Embarking on its journey with the intake of inaugural students during the 2014-2015 Academic Year, MEF University is steadfastly advancing towards its ambition of becoming an institution that not only imparts knowledge but places a significant emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovative thinking, and creativity. Founded in 2012 in Istanbul, MEF University holds the distinction of being a foundation university. Notably, while the majority of its programs are offered in English, the Law Faculty offers instructions that are 30% in English, exemplifying the institution's commitment to linguistic diversity. What further distinguishes MEF University is its adoption of the groundbreaking "Flipped Classroom" educational model on a worldwide scale.

This novel approach to learning, in contrast to conventional teaching methodologies, entails students assimilating theoretical knowledge through asynchronous lessons or designated preparatory assignments completed at home. Subsequently, these students are granted the unique opportunity to apply and consolidate their learning within the classroom setting, thereby actively participating in their educational journey.

In the context of the "Flipped Classroom" model, students are empowered to engage in individual and group-based problem-solving activities directly related to pre-assigned topics.
