Christina Hull Paxson is an esteemed American economist and public health expert, currently serving as the 19th president of Brown University. Prior to her presidency, she held the distinguished position of Hughes Rogers Professor of Economics & Public Affairs at Princeton University and served as the dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
In March 2012, Paxson was chosen as the 19th president of Brown University, succeeding Ruth Simmons. She assumed her role on July 1, 2012, and was formally inaugurated on October 27, 2012.
