Christine Neau-Leduc Overview

Christine Neau-Leduc is the current President of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and holds a distinguished position in the field of private law.

She graduated with a Master's degree (DEA) in private law from the University of Montpellier in 1991 and earning a Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas in 1998. Christine Neau-Leduc achieved her Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR) in 2002, a significant recognition of her research abilities.She attained the prestigious title of Agrégée de droit privé et de sciences criminelles in 2003.

Christine Neau-Leduc's specialization lies in social law, collective negotiation, collective representation, and corporate social responsibility (RSE). Within the École de droit de la Sorbonne (EDS) and as a member of the Institut de recherche juridique de la Sorbonne (IRJS), she has actively contributed to academia. Her roles include being the director of the private law department at the doctoral school of law and co-director of the Center for Social Law at Sorbonne. Furthermore, she served as the first vice-president responsible for institutional affairs on the university's board of directors from 2016 to 2019.

Christine Neau-Leduc's extensive curriculum vitae also lists her roles as a Professor at the University of Montpellier 1 (2005-2012) and the University of Toulouse 1 (2003-2005). She has been a Maître de conférences (Lecturer) at the University of Montpellier 1 from 1999 to 2003. In addition to her academic contributions, she is actively involved in various scientific activities and functions. She has been a member of the scientific committee of the Revue Droit social and the Conseil d’Orientation pour l’Emploi. She also served on the board of the Association française pour l’Organisation Internationale du Travail (OIT) and the scientific committee of the Assises du Droit social, among other roles.

Throughout her career, she has taken on significant administrative responsibilities, including her role as Vice-President of the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne's board of directors, where she oversaw institutional affairs from 2016 to 2020. She has also held positions such as Director of the private law department at the École doctorale de droit de la Sorbonne and responsible for the Master's program in business law at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Furthermore, she has been co-director of the Center for Social Law at Sorbonne (IRJS EA 4150), responsible for the Master 1 program in social law at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and held various other roles in the academic administration of different institutions.
