Editrudis Beltrán Overview

Editrudis Beltrán Crisóstomo, born in La Victoria, Santo Domingo, is the esteemed current Rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. As the fourth child of Natalia Crisóstomo and Bernardino Beltrán, his educational calling emerged early. After marrying Manuela Soto and raising three children, he pursued a teaching passion. Armed with a degree in Physics and a master's in Pure Mathematics, he began his educational journey as a monitor at the School of Physics of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in 1974. Over the years, he progressed through roles like assistant professor, lab coordinator, and chair coordinator, ultimately attaining the rank of full professor.
