Enrique Etchevarren Overview

Dr. in Law and Social Sciences from the University of the Republic, he holds a Master's in Journalism from CEU San Pablo (Brazil) and the University of Navarra. After practicing law, he became Chief Editor at El País newspaper for over a decade. He was on the editorial board of the Group of Diarios América (GDA) and co-founded UM's Communication program. Serving as UM's Academic Secretary since 2015, he became Interim Rector in February 2023 until January 31, 2024.
