James Purnell is the President and Vice-Chancellor of UAL, bringing extensive experience in the creative industries, public policy, and the digital landscape. His involvement in the arts includes commissioning the McMaster Review and serving on the boards of the National Theatre, Young Vic, and BFI. With a passion for creativity, he produced the award-winning documentary "One Mile Away" and launched BBC Sounds, making him a prominent figure in the field of culture and education.
