Prof. Ing. Libor Čapek, Ph.D., is a distinguished figure in the world of chemistry and academia. His remarkable journey began with a childhood fascination with chemistry, leading him to pursue higher education and research in this field.

His educational path started at the Secondary Vocational School of Chemistry in Pardubice, Czech Republic. His passion for chemistry then led him to the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology (FChT) at the University of Pardubice. Here, he earned an engineering degree in the field of Technical Analytical and Physical Chemistry.

Between 2002 and 2005, Libor Čapek embarked on a significant research endeavor at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of Jaroslav Heyrovský. During this period, he completed his dissertation, a substantial academic achievement that he successfully defended in 2004 at the University of Pardubice. For his outstanding academic performance during his doctoral studies, he received the prestigious Award of the Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports.
