Professor Maurits van Rooijen is the esteemed Rector of LSBF and the Chief Academic Officer of Global University Systems. He holds pivotal roles as the Rector of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Germany, and as the Board Chair for IBAT College Dublin in Ireland and GISMA in Germany. With a strong focus on academic innovation and progress, Maurits brings visionary leadership to the organization. His achievements include being honored with the Constance Meldrum prize for Vision and Leadership by the European Association for International Education (EAIE) and receiving the Insignia d'Ouro from the Universidad Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Maurits exemplifies the values of lifelong learning and the pursuit of excellence. He obtained his BA in History and his PhD in Geography from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
