Pasqual Barretti Overview

Pasqual Barretti, born in Itapetininga in 1957, is a distinguished medical professional. He completed his medical degree at FMB-Unesp in 1981 and specialized in Nephrology during his residency from 1982 to 1984. Throughout his career, he held various significant positions, including coordinating the Dialysis Unit at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMB, serving as the hospital's superintendent, and presiding over the Foundation for Medical and Hospital Development (Famesp) from 2005 to 2015. He holds a master's and a doctorate in Physiopathology in Clinical Medicine from Unesp. Barretti is a Full Professor and Director of Scientific Research at FAMESP, known for his extensive publications and active participation in academic events, with a focus on infectious complications of peritoneal dialysis.
