Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano has been serving as the Chancellor of the University of Colorado Boulder since his appointment in 2009. With an impressive tenure of 45 years at the university, he first joined in 1974 as an assistant professor in the School of Education, specializing in curriculum and instruction. Throughout his long and varied career at the university, Dr. DiStefano has held numerous roles, including parent, donor, professor, dean, provost, and, currently, chancellor. He has a deep passion for education, stemming from his upbringing in the working-class town of Steubenville, Ohio. As a first-generation college student, he personally understands the transformative power of education and opportunity.
