Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız Overview

Cemal Yıldız completed his studies at Istanbul University in 1988 and began his research career at Marmara University in 1989. He holds a master's degree from 1992 and a doctorate from 1994. He's progressed to become a full professor in 2004, teaching language-related courses at Marmara and Yeditepe Universities. Yıldız's expertise extends to research, focusing on linguistics and language teaching in Germany. His work has been published internationally, covering linguistic and language education topics. He's held important roles, including directing Marmara University's School of Foreign Languages and serving as an Education Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Berlin. Since 2021, he's been the General Director of Higher Education and Overseas Education. In June 2022, he was appointed Rector of the Turkish-German University. Proficient in German and English, Yıldız is married with two children.
