Prof. Dr. Fatih ALTUN Overview

Fatih Altun (born 1969 in Kayseri) is a Turkish academic and bureaucrat. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1992. He completed his master's degree at Yıldız Technical University's Institute of Science. From 1994 to 2000, he pursued his doctoral studies in the same department. Between 2000 and 2009, he served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Civil Engineering at Erciyes University's Faculty of Engineering. From 2009 to 2016, he held the position of Vice Dean at Erciyes University's Faculty of Engineering, and from 2015 to 2018, he served as the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. In 2016, he became the Dean of Erciyes University's Faculty of Engineering. On September 15, 2022, he was appointed as the Rector of Erciyes University, a position he currently holds.
