Radenka Maric, an accomplished American engineer and academic, assumed the role of the 17th president at the University of Connecticut (UConn) on September 28, 2022. A noteworthy aspect is that she is the first internal candidate to ascend to the presidency since 1990, following in the footsteps of Harry J. Hartley.
