Renu Khator, a distinguished academic leader, holds the positions of the thirteenth president of the University of Houston (UH) and the fifth chancellor of the University of Houston System (UH System). Notably, she is the first female chancellor in Texas and the pioneering Indian immigrant to steer a comprehensive research university in the U.S. Khator's academic journey includes earning a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Kanpur University and pursuing advanced studies at Purdue University, culminating in a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in political science and public administration.
