Dr. Rodney D. Bennett serves as the 21st chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), a prestigious institution that holds the distinction of being Nebraska's flagship university, Land-Grant university, and member of the Big Ten Conference. With over 30 years of experience in higher education, Chancellor Bennett has demonstrated a strong commitment to research advancement, student success, and the establishment of meaningful partnerships. Prior to joining UNL, Chancellor Bennett accomplished remarkable achievements during his nine-year tenure as president of the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). Under his leadership, USM experienced significant growth in research reputation and funding, resulting in its reclassification from a Carnegie R2 university to an R1 institution.
