Tiziana Lippiello, the current Rector of Ca' Foscari University of Venice and President of Eutopia European University, has had a remarkable academic journey. Born on February 18, 1962, in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy, she currently resides in Portogruaro and is a mother of two daughters.

Her educational path is distinguished. Tiziana Lippiello earned her degree in Oriental Languages and Literature from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to study at the University of Foreign Languages in Beijing, the Philosophy Faculty of Fudan University in Shanghai (from 1985 to 1987), and the Faculty of Letters at the University of Leiden (from 1989 to 1993), where she successfully obtained her Ph.D.

Lippiello's academic career commenced as a researcher at the University of Trieste. In 2000, she joined Ca' Foscari University, where she currently holds the position of full professor, specializing in Classical Chinese. Her contributions within the university are extensive. She has served as a senator, director of the Department of Studies on Asia and Mediterranean Africa, and vice-rector in charge of international relations.

Notably, Tiziana Lippiello currently serves as the Rector of Ca' Foscari University of Venice for the 2021-26 mandate and also as the President of Eutopia European University. Her leadership extends beyond her own institution; she is a member of the CRUI Council (Conference of Italian University Rectors) and holds the role of President of the Univeneto Foundation.

In her 17-year tenure at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, she has significantly contributed to academia. Her role as a full professor specializing in Classical Chinese, the History of Chinese Philosophy, and the Religions of China has had a profound impact on her field.
