Ursula Marie Staudinger is a distinguished German psychologist and gerontologist, known for her expertise in sociomedical sciences and psychology. Formerly a professor at Columbia University, she now serves as the Rector of Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden). Staudinger has had a remarkable academic career, with degrees from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Clark University, and research conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. She held positions at various institutions, including the Jacobs University Bremen and the Columbia University Aging Center. As the first female Rector in Germany, Staudinger introduced a Prorectorate for University Culture at TU Dresden, demonstrating her commitment to innovative leadership.
