Born in Alagoas and residing in Porto Alegre for over 30 years, this UFRGS Full Professor specializes in engineering with a focus on water resource management, renewable energy, and environmental infrastructure. With a diverse educational background, including a Ph.D. from the University of Bristol, England, and post-doctoral studies in Environmental Planning at the University of California, Davis, he has held numerous leadership positions within UFRGS. His international engagement includes training in the Leadership for Environment and Development program and participation in the Fulbright Commission program. He holds technical honors, certificates of meritorious services, and awards for his contributions to various organizations and fields.
