Educator and Jurist. Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile law graduate. Holds a Master's in Education from Harvard University and a Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. Became Rector of Universidad de los Andes in January 2014, securing a second term in 2019. Joined the institution in 1991 as a Law Faculty professor, later becoming its inaugural Academic Secretary. Advanced to pivotal roles in university governance, including Council membership, Commission Counsel, and Academic Vice Rector.
