Kirk Schulz, the 11th president of Washington State University (WSU) and a tenured professor in the Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering, is a visionary leader dedicated to fulfilling the university's land-grant mission. Since assuming the presidency in 2016, President Schulz has been steadfast in his commitment to expanding the university's statewide presence, encompassing campuses, Extension offices, and diverse programs to better serve the state of Washington. Evolving from the chief executive of WSU Pullman campus, President Schulz now spearheads the strategic vision and direction for the entire WSU system. Advocating for higher-education policy, prioritizing philanthropic initiatives, and representing WSU at the state and federal levels are among his key responsibilities. President Schulz's dynamic leadership ensures WSU's continued growth and impactful contributions to the state and beyond.
