Dr. Dimopoulos, rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is a medical professional with a rich academic career. He earned his medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1985. His scholarly contributions include over 750 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on plasma cell dyscrasias and genitourinary and gynecologic cancers. Dr. Meletios–Athanasios Dimopoulosactively participates in the scientific community, serving as a journal reviewer and holding editorial roles. His dedication to advancing medical knowledge extends to contributing to the Scientific Advisory Boards of the International Myeloma Foundation and the International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the prestigious Robert A. Kyle Award for his work on Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
