Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan Overview

Atilla Arkan, a graduate of Marmara Faculty of Theology (1991), obtained his doctoral degree in Islamic Philosophy from Marmara University in 1999, and pursued a second doctoral study at the International Islamic University Malaysia (1996-1999). He began his academic career at Sakarya University in 1994, becoming a professor in 2013. He also worked as a visiting researcher at McGill University's Institute of Islamic Studies in Canada (2012-2014). Apart from his roles at Sakarya University's Faculty of Theology, he has served as the Director of Education and Social Policy Research at SETA since 2017. Prof. Arkan is proficient in English and Arabic.
