Prof. Dr. Bulent CAKMAK Overview

Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak graduated from Karadeniz Technical University and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Bristol. He's a recognized expert in "Laser" research, with published work in various journals. He played pivotal roles in Ministry of Development and TÜBİTAK projects, and has contributed to Defense Technology initiatives as well. He was twice awarded fellowships by the Royal Society and has strong ties to the UK. Dr. Çakmak held significant leadership positions during the establishment of Erzurum Technical University, notably spearheading the High Technology Application and Research Center (YUTAM) project. Appointed as Rector in 2018, he's a proficient English speaker, married, and a father of three.
