Prof. Dr. Cem ZORLU Overview

Dr. Cem Zorlu is an accomplished academic and administrator. He completed his education at Selçuk University, earning a doctorate in Islamic History. After serving as a research assistant, he became an associate professor and later a professor at the same university. He has also taught in various countries and authored several books. In addition to his academic achievements, he has held significant roles in politics and education, serving as a member of the Turkish Parliament and later becoming the Chairman of the Board of Turkey Maarif Foundation. In 2018, he was appointed as the Rector of Necmettin Erbakan University, and in 2022, he was reappointed to the same position. Dr. Zorlu is multilingual, proficient in Arabic, and has a good command of German and English, along with a basic knowledge of Persian.
