He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Theology in 1987 and later completed his master's degree in Kalam at the same institution in 1989. He obtained his doctoral degree from Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 1995 with a thesis titled "Prophethood in the Bible and the Qur'an." He served as a researcher at ISAM for an extended period and was granted the title of professor in 2010. In 2012, he worked as a member of the Interuniversity Council. His academic pursuits primarily focus on Islamic theology's historical and systematic aspects, as well as the concepts of existence and knowledge within Islamic thought.
