Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak Overview

Necdet Budak, born in Edirne in 1964, is currently serving as the Rector of Ege University. He has a distinguished career in agriculture, including research and academic positions at Ege University. He obtained his doctoral degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the University of Nebraska in the United States. Budak has published numerous research articles and served as a member of parliament, as well as holding advisory and directorial roles in various institutions. He was reappointed as the Rector of Ege University in 2021.
