Prof. Dr. Omer TORLAK Overview

Ömer Torlak graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration in 1982, obtaining master's and doctoral degrees from the same institution in 1984 and 1991, respectively. He held various academic positions, becoming a professor in 2007. He authored numerous publications and presented at national and international conferences. Torlak served as the Rector of KTO Karatay University and later as the President of the Competition Authority. He was also a member of the TÜBİTAK Science Board. He is currently engaged in academic work at Istanbul Ticaret University, where he previously served as the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration. Appointed as the Acting Rector in January 2023, Torlak was confirmed in this role permanently in June 2023. He is married and has three children.
