Sian Leah Beilock, born on January 10, 1976, is a cognitive scientist who currently serves as the president of Dartmouth College. Prior to her role at Dartmouth, she held the position of the eighth president at Barnard College, the women's undergraduate college affiliated with Columbia University. During her tenure at Barnard, she also served as an academic dean within Columbia University. Beilock's academic journey includes a notable 12-year period at the University of Chicago, where she held the title of Stella M. Rowley Professor of Psychology and Executive Vice Provost. Her educational background comprises doctorate degrees in kinesiology and psychology from Michigan State University.
